You know we live in a small apartment but we still love to get inspired by big an beautiful flats. The one I’m showing you today is one of those that leaves you breathless. It has a bohemian, natural and easy style, where things just seem to be left on their place. A relaxed home where you can breath calm and vitality at a time and the personality of the family living in it is reflected on every corner.
The living room is just wonderful, spacious and full of natural light. As an entrance we find a simple wooden shelve and a rack. Hats, straw bags and plants create a casual combination that gives a natural touch to the space.
The use of natural fibres (leather, straw, jute…) in combination with the use of the natural element in the numerous plants around the house gives a warm touch to the space.
We need to point out the shelve full of books (and plants) that covers the wall of the stairs as well as the courage of having the floor painted black, which creates the perfect contrast with the predominant white of the rest of the house.
The kitchen opens completely to the living room and to a terrace through a big window so it is also full of natural light. It is such an important space at home cause Claudia (the owner) is a food stylist.
Most of the storage is organised in open shelving which are full of cooking books, kitchenware, dish ware, glassware… a great variety of elements, and of course, more plants.
The bedroom is a space of extreme simplicity and elegance. The bed is the main character but it is also disguised in the general whiteness. A wooden base, white bedding and a touch of colour with the red pillow.
We can see again the warmth that natural textures give: the quilt, the rug, that wicker trunk… and what about that swing? Haven’t you ever dreamed about one of those?
I have liked this house specially because its simplicity and that fresh and bohemian touch. It is such a personal style that has been achieved through time. Besides, I think it is so affordable because there are no expensive design pieces or luxurious finishes that maybe we cannot afford.
So, if you feel this is your style, write it down: white and light full base, natural textures, a lot of interior plants and some elements with that bohemian touch.
What do you think about this house? Wouldn’t you like to live in it?
